Intermediate Cover - Roadside Assistance and Vehicle Recovery

The aim of the UK's breakdown cover providers is generally the same: to offer a professional fault diagnosis and repair service at the roadside that quickly gets you back on the road with the minimum of fuss. However, in certain circumstances, a vehicle fault may not be easily resolved on the spot. For example, a specialist part that the patrol mechanic does not carry may be required, or if the vehicle has been involved in a collision it may simply not be safe enough to drive away. It is in situations like these that an alternative solution is needed -- and that solution is vehicle recovery.

Breakdown Cover Packages (Intermediate)

Vehicle recovery -- getting you from A to B

Vehicle recovery is a service that gets you, your passengers and your stricken vehicle from your breakdown location to where you need to be. It affords you real peace of mind, for if your vehicle cannot be driven away you have a means of getting back home again, or in continuing on with your journey.

So how does it work? Well, first off, a recovery truck is dispatched by the breakdown provider and sent to your location. Once there the faulty vehicle is loaded onto the truck for onward transportation. You and your passengers are then accommodated in the breakdown truck's cab, or, if necessary, in another patrol vehicle. You, your passengers and your vehicle are then transported to any location that you specify on the UK mainland.

Where you travel to is entirely your choice. After suffering a breakdown you might want to return home. If you do the recovery truck can deposit your vehicle at your home address, or if a repair garage is in close proximity to your home, drop your passengers off at the house and deliver the faulty vehicle to the repair garage.

Alternatively, you may want to continue your onward journey to your planned destination or to somewhere else. Again, the recovery truck can unload your car at whichever location you specify, or just deliver it straight to a repair garage.

Should you suffer a vehicle breakdown at night when the repair garage you want to use is closed, you have an opportunity to order the recovery service to get you to your home or other accommodation in the first instance. The following day, when the repair garage is open, you can then call out another recovery vehicle to transport your car to the garage.

It's a service that's simple, reliable and is guaranteed to get you from A to B, wherever 'A' and 'B' might be!
